View from the Top (May, June, September, and October) Enjoy the panoramic view from 1,530 feet atop Cadillac Mountain, the highest summit on the Atlantic seaboard. Discover the events that have shaped the landscape and created Acadia National Park. One hour, easy walking along a paved trail. *Peregrine Falcons - Return of the Wanderer (May, June, and July) From the verge of extinction to Acadias cliffs, endangered peregrine falcons once again call Acadia National Park their home. View the nesting site and learn more about these wanderers of the sky. Viewing scopes will be available for a close-up look. *Warbler Walk (Mid-May and early June) Spring is an excellent time to see and hear song birds in Acadia National Park, where 21 nesting wood warblers make their home. Learn to identify these symbols of spring by their markings and songs. Binoculars and field guides suggested. One to two hours, easy walking. *Carriage Road Ramble (September and October) Autumn colors bring a special beauty to the landscape. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along one of Acadias carriage roads and discover flora and fauna and the people and practices that contributed to Acadias distinctive character. One hour, easy walking on firm roads. Beaver Trek (September and October) Discover why these aquatic engineers are so well suited for their work and how they have changed Acadias landscape. Dress warmly. 90 minutes, easy walking. Rain or Shine Programs will be given rain or shine. If weather conditions compromise the safety of the participants, the ranger will cancel the program and fees will be refunded. Groups must provide their own transportation to program location. Fees and Payment Program fee is $50 per hour. Times listed in descriptions reflect the typical time frames required to adequately present programs. Length of programs can be tailored to group needs. Prepayment is required to reserve the program. Refunds Groups may cancel their reservation up to one week in advance and receive a full refund. Cancellations less than one week in advance will result in a forfeit of program fee. Reservations Reservations should be made no later than one month in advance to allow for scheduling of staff.
