Lake Meredith National Recreation Area is adjacent to Alibates Flint Quarries and provides camping and water activities.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park is less than 50 miles away and is otherwise known as the "Little Grand Canyon of Texas." Great hiking, horse-back riding and camping can be done at this park and it is a must see if you're in the area.
