Closed Veterans Day (November 11), Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and January 1, Martin Luther King Jr. Day (3rd Monday in January), Presidents Day (3rd Monday in February).

Getting There

Plane

Approximately 2 1/2 hours from Greater Pittsburgh International Airport. Commuter flights may be available to the Johnstown Municipal Airport (45 minutes away) or the Altoona/Blair County Airport in Martinsburg, PA (45 minutes away)

Car

The park is located just off U.S. 22 approximately 12 miles west of Altoona and 10 miles east of Ebensburg. Take the Gallitzin Exit and follow the signs.

Public Transportation

Amtrack stops in Johnstown and Altoona. There is no public transportation to or within the park.

Getting Around

Most Facilities are trailheads are within walking distance of the main parking lot. The picnic area can be accessed by car from the Summit/Cresson exit of U.S. Hwy 22.
