National Park Service
Rainbow Bridge National Monument
From its base to the top of the arch, it is 290 feet-nearly the height of the Statue of Liberty-and spans 275 feet across the river; the top of the arch is 42 feet thick and 33 feet wide. Rainbow Bridge National Monument preserve the "extraordinary natural bridge, having an arch which is in form and appearance much like a rainbow, and which is of great scientific interest as an example of eccentric stream erosion."
Redwood National and State Parks
Redwood National and State Parks are home to some of the world's tallest trees:
old-growth coast redwoods. The parks' mosaic of habitats include prairie/oak woodlands, mighty
rivers and streams, and 37 miles of pristine Pacific coastline.
Richmond National Battlefield Park
Between 1861 and 1865, Union armies repeatedly set out to capture Richmond, capital of the Confederacy, and end the Civil War. Three of those campaigns came within a few miles of the city.
Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River
The Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River provides protection and maintenance of the pristine
character of the Rio Grande from the Mexican and Texas border. Approximately 69 miles of The
Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River lies within Big Bend National Park, and an additional 118
miles borders the Park.

Rocky Mountain National Park

high. The high point on Trail Ridge Road is 12,183'. .Longs Peak, the highest peak in the
park, is 14,259' in elevation.

Ross Lake National Recreation Area
