Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park Established for the preservation, protection and interpretation of traditional native Hawaiian activities and culture, Kaloko-Honokohau NHP is an 1160 acre park full of incredible cultural and historical significance. Katmai National Park & Preserve Katmai is famous for volcanoes, brown bears, fish, and rugged wilderness and is also the site of the Brooks River National Historic Landmark with North America's highest concentration of prehistoric human dwellings (about 900). Kenai Fjords National Park The Kenai Fjords reflect scenic icebound landscapes in which salt spray mixes with mountain mist. Located on the southeastern Kenai Peninsula, the national park is a pristine and rugged land supporting many unaltered natural environments and ecosystems. Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens constitutes some 700 acres and is part of Anacostia Park. The Park includes the "Gardens", Kenilworth Marsh, ballfields and recreational facilities. The Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens is the only National Park Service site devoted to the propagation and display of aquatic plants Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield is a 2,888 acre National Battlefield that preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign. Keweenaw National Historical Park Keweenaw National Historical Park preserves the heritage of copper mining in this unique setting amid many of the original structures and landscapes of the copper era. Kings Mountain National Military Park Kings Mountain National Military Park commemorates a pivotal and significant victory by American Patriots over American Loyalists during the Southern Campaign of the Revolutionary War. Klondike Gold Rush - Seattle Unit National Historical Park In 1897 news of a gold strike in the Canadian Yukon reached Seattle, triggering a stampede North to the Klondike Gold Fields. Tens of thousands of people descended upon Seattle: the hopeful miners purchased millions of dollars of food, clothing, equipment, pack animals, and steamship tickets. The final outcome of this great stampede helped shape the Seattle we know today, Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park This park celebrates the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897-98 through 15 restored buildings within the Skagway Historic District. Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site The 1,758 acre site preserves historic and archaelogical remnants of the culture and agricultural lifestyle of the Northern Plains Indians. Kobuk Valley National Park The park povides protection for several important geographic features, including the central portion of the Kobuk River, the 25-sqaure-mile Great Kobuk Sand Dunes, and the Little Kobuk and Hunt River dunes. Korean War Veterans Memorial The Korean War Veterans Memorial honors those Americans who worked and fought under the most trying of circumstances, and those who gave their lives for the cause of freedom.
