Amistad Visitor Information Center is open 7 days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., year-round, except Thanksgiving, December 25 and January 1

Location

Drive west of Del Rio on Hwy 90. The Visitor Information Center is located across from Three Rivers RV Park on Hwy 90, about 5.5 miles west of NPS headquarters.

Special Programs

View Amistad NRA's video, "The Transparent Border" (Spanish version also available), or "Spirits of the Canyon", a video on Lower Pecos Area Rock Art, in our new movie theater with DVD projector and "surround sound."

Exhibits

Exhibits relate the story of the dam's construction and describe the natural and cultural resources surrounding Amistad Reservoir.

Available Facilities

Rest Room, Parking, Big Bend Natural History Association Bookstore, Information, Movie Theater, Daily and Annual Boat Permit sales, Annual Hunting Permits issued here.
