Arches National Park - Camping
The Devils Garden Campground is a great place to begin your exploration of
Arches.
The Devils Garden Campground is located eighteen miles from the park entrance and is
open year-round. Facilities include potable water, picnic tables, grills, as well as both
pit-style and flush toilets. There are no showers. Bring your own wood or charcoal for the
grills. Some sites will accommodate RV's up to 30 feet in length. Devils Garden is part of
the National Recreation Reservation System (NRRS), which offers telephone and on-line
reservations for both group and individual sites. Reservations are not accepted by the park,
and the park does not maintain information about site availability.
Individual Sites
The campground has 52 individual sites which are $15 per night ($20 starting November 1,
2008) and will accommodate up to ten people. Up to 28 of the individual sites may be
reserved for nights between March 1st and October 31st. Reservations must be made no less
than 4 days and no more than 180 days in advance. There is an additional $9 booking fee for

Group Sites
The campground has two sites for groups of eleven or more people. The Juniper Basin
campsite will accommodate up to 55 people; the Canyon Wren campsite up to 35. The group
camping fee is $3 per person per night, with a $33 per night minimum. No recreational
vehicles or trailers are permitted in the group sites
Other Camping Options
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) operates many campgrounds in the Moab area. Some
accommodate large groups and may be reserved in advance. For more information, visit the

A new visitor center offers information on the history, geology, and biology of the area. The small and remote, but very popular, campground rests in a beautiful red rock desert environment. There are no showers available and the closest town of Moab is 25 miles away.

Description: Located approximately 7 miles west of Monticello, UT in the Abajo Mountains. Campground is situated at an elevation of 8900 feet amid aspen and Gambel oak trees. Summer temperatures range from 75-85 degrees during the day and 50-60 degrees at night. Mule deer, wild turkeys, and black bears frequent the area. There are no hookups, but drinking water and vault toilets are provided. Firewood may be collected in and around the campground. Popular activities include fishing, hiking, and riding ATV trails.
