Big Cypress National Preserve - Plants

This Preserve is named after a plant. In fact most visitors think that they are going to be seeing the huge cypress trees that were logged out of here during the beginning decades of the twentieth century. Instead they will be viewing vast expanses of dwarf cypress; the Preserve got its name from their huge numbers.
