Edson Creek

Description:

Located on the fork of Edson Creek and Sixes river, this site is a popular swimming and fishingdestination. The boat launch area provides accessto the river for small boats. There are four groupsites that provide a picnic and camp area for groups of 25 to 250 people. The sites are by special reservation. (Call 541-751-4418 for reservations.)

Directions:

Northbound: Five miles north of Port Orford turn right at Sixes River. Travel approximately four miles turn left before you cross the Edson Creek Bridge.

The bighorn sheep is the mammalian symbol of Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Colorado's official animal. Colorado is home to the largest population of the species anywhere. The animals are five to six feet long with a tail three to six inches in length.
