"The Ledge Camping Area is located approximately 8.5 miles from the junction of Highway 191 on the Kane Springs Road. Individual sites can accommodate 10 people and 2 vehicles. There are 5 areas: Ledge A, B, C, D, E. There is 1 reservable group campsite located between Sites C & D on the east side of the road. Hiking, biking, and motorized routes are nearby. Campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis. Fees: Ledge A & B $15.00 per site Number of sites: 74 Toilets: Yes Water: No Fees: Ledge C, D, E $10.00 per site Number of sites: 31 Toilets: Yes Water: No"

The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Characterized by rugged beauty, this steep mountain range is filled with jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and glaciers. North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.
November's Animal
Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
