Yuba Lake Recreation Area

Description:

Elevation 5000 feet. The warm waters of Yuba Reservoir provide a wonderful setting for boaters, waterskiers, windsurfers, sailors and swimmers. In addition, there is year-round fishing for walleye, perch, catfish, and northern pike. This reservoir is popular on weekends, especially during the summer months.

Directions:

Located 25 miles south of Nephi on the west side of the reservoir.

The bighorn sheep is the mammalian symbol of Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Colorado's official animal. Colorado is home to the largest population of the species anywhere. The animals are five to six feet long with a tail three to six inches in length.
