
In Alabama's Black Prairie Belt, Chilatchee Creek Campground offers excellent fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. The park also provides good bow hunting opportunities for whitetail deer and wild turkey. Numerous fishing tournaments and annual festivals are held in the immediate area.

*Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.* Walk-In only dates have been set for October 1-16, 2007. The campground is open year round and sites range from $16-$18/night. An attendant is on duty and the campground telephone number is (334) 573- 2562. First mile of campground entrance road is not paved. One camping unit and two vehicles are covered by camping fee. There is a $2 fee for each extra vehicle. More than one camping unit is allowed but an extra fee may be charged.
