Lone Pine Campground Description

Located in the eastern Sierra, six miles west of the town of Lone Pine, California. Campground is seven miles from Whitney Trailhead. Firewood is for sale at the campground. Popular activities include hiking and fishing. Restrooms are provided. Some first come, first serve sites may be available.

Lone Pine Campground Alerts

Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance. No all-terrain or off-road vehicles allowed in the campground. No refunds are given for bad weather. No motor homes, trailers, buses, or campers are allowed in the parking lot. If people have these conveniences, they need to reserve a family unit. Showers are located 10 miles west of campground up at Portal store. Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am. Upon arrival, check-in with camp host and clip confirmation card to number stake. Max 2 vehicles or 1 RV per site. Trailers count as a vehicle. A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
