Willis Knob Horse Camp Campground Description

This is a reservation only campground. The campground has two access trails that connect it to the 15 mile Willis Knob Horse Trail, which in turn is connected to the12.5 mile Rocky Gap Horse Trail in South Carolina by three official fords crossing the Wild and Scenic Chattooga River. These fords are Adline Branch, Big Island, and Earl's Ford. There is a pressurized water system serving each of the camp sites with three additional hydrants available near the high line areas to help in watering the horses tied in those areas. In addition, each site has an electrical hook-up with 50, 30, and 20 AMP connections. The campground contains one ADA compliant toilet building, but no shower facilities are available. Campers are required to clean up after their horses. Two trailers are provided for this. Please place all manure and hay into these trailers for ease of removal from the campground and to help provide other users with a more enjoyable experience. Site 9 is the only site available for a Golden Age/Passport discount.

Willis Knob Horse Camp (GA) 809 HWY 441 SO Clayton GA 30525 From Clayton, Georgia travel east off of Hwy 23/441 on Rickman Street for 1/2 mile. Veer right onto Warwomen Road and go 10.8 miles to Willis Knob Road. Turn right onto Willis Knob Road and the campground gate will be two miles ahead on the left.
