
Cabin is located at an elevation of 8,500 fee in a dense lodgepole forest. The cabin has three separate rooms: Kitchen, living area and bedroom. The cabin contains a double bed, side tables, drop down kitchen table, cleaning supplies, dishes and tableware, pots and pans, fire extinguisher, hide-a-bed sofa, chairs and dining table. A wood stove provides heat and cooking facilities inside. Picnic table and fire grill are provided outside. Drinking water is available from a nearby hand pump well. A shed is located behind the cabin and is stocked with seasoned wood, a splitting maul, axe and hatchet. East Fork Roaring River is near. Activities include fishing the Subalpin Lakes for rainbow and cutthroat trout, wildlife viewing, and bird watching. Phone service is one hour away.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Tents and livestock not allowed. There are no facilities available. Pack-in and pack-out trash. There is no electric power, propane or running water. Candles are not permitted in the cabin. Security for the cabin is provided by access through a locked cabin door. Directions for the combination use is posted at the gate and cabin entrance. The combination to the locks will be included in your confirmation letter. Less than 5 miles from this cabin: 1. Big Trinity Cabin (ID) 2180 AMERICAN LEGION Mountain Home ID 83647 Travel east from Boise, ID on I-84 to Mountain Home. At I-84/Highway 20 junction, take Highway 20 east for 35 miles to Pine/Featherville turnoff. Travel north on Forest Highway 61 for 29 miles to Forest Road 172. Travel 15 miles northwest to Forest Road 129. Travel 3 miles to the Guard Station Junction. The roadway is paved up to the junction of Forest Road 172. Forest Road 172 is native material (dirt) and trailer traffic is not recommended. There are signs noting each of the junctions.
