Curlew Campground Description

Curlew Campground is located just 7 miles north of Snowville, Utah (I-84) or 9.4 miles south of Holbrook, Idaho. It is sometimes called Stone Reservoir. The local District Office telephone number is (208)236-7500. Security is provided by hosts and periodic patrols by county sheriff. This is a desert/sagebrush ecosystem so the only shade is the picnic covers or the ones you bring with you. The road within the campground is paved. There is one ADA accessible campsite with concrete and asphalt surfacing and an accessible toilet in the campground.

Curlew Campground Alerts

*4 day reservation window* There are no electricity/water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground. A fee of $5.00 for extra vehicles will be colleted at the campground. ATV's or ORV's allowed on designated road and trails only. There are drinking fountains and vault toilets close by. All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areas only, unless permission is given by Campground Host. No horses in campground. All pets must be on a leash.

Curlew Campground Directions

Curlew Campground (ID) 4350 CLIFFS DRIVE Pocatello ID 83204 Take the Snowville, Utah exit off I-84, northwest of Tremonton, Utah. Go north on paved highway 6.5 miles. Turn left (north) at the Curlew Campground sign and go another .5 mile to the campground. Or from Holbrook, Idaho (24 miles west of Malad, Idaho) go south 7.5 miles on paved highway, turn right (west) following the same highway and go 1.7 miles to the Curlew Campground turnoff. Turn right (north) on gravel road and go .5 mile to the campground. Motor homes can make it easily.
