Cave Creek Campground Description

Rough River Lake lies within the "Clifty" area of the Pennyroyal Region of Kentucky. A wide variety of recreational opportunities and facilities has been provided for visitor enjoyment by the Corps and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Visitation at the lake now exceeds two million visitor days annually. This campground has 86 sites, boat launching ramp, dump station, pit restrooms, potable water and telephone.

Cave Creek Campground Alerts

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. The campground is open from the first of May to mid-September and sites range from $10-$14/night. Attendants are on duty and the telephone number is (270) 879-4304. Local option prohibits the use of alcohol and no off-road vehicles allowed.
