Moutardier Campground Description

In the gentle slopes of South Central Kentucky, Moutardier Campground on Nolin Lake has great appeal to the naturalist or those who just want to get away from it all. Most of the areas in the campground are rolling hillsides with gentle access to the shoreline. Some shoreline areas are steep with riprap erosion protection. There is a boat ramp, playground, and picnic shelter adjacent to the campground. The campground offers 167 campsites, 81 with electric and water hookup. Other amenities include a dump station, flush facilities, showers, playground, boat ramp, picnic shelter, public marina, and hiking trails. Other area attractions include Mammoth Cave National Park, Nolin Lake State Park, golf courses, marina, canoe rentals, and riding stables. Quiet hours are 10pm - 6am. Pets must be kept on leashes not over 6 feet long. No hunting or firearms permitted in recreation areas.

This campground requires you to reserve 3 days in advance, and you must stay 3 nights on holiday weekends. The campground is open from mid-April through 3rd weekend in October with attendants on duty. The fees range in price from $15-$22/night. The telephone number is (270)286-4230. Local option law prohibits the use of alcohol. Fires allowed only in the fire rings provided at each site.

Moutardier (KY) 1343 Moutardier Road Leitchfield KY 42754 From Louisville, KY take I-65 South to the Western Kentucky Parkway; take the Western Kentucky Parkway west for approximately 30 miles to HWY 259 @ Leitchfield, KY; take Hwy 259 south for approximately 12 miles to Hwy 2067; turn left onto Hwy 2067 and follow signs into the campground.
