
Silvermine is a tent-only group camp, tucked beneath a stand of poplars and hemlocks near the banks of the French Broad River in Pisgah National Forest. Campers enjoy the soothing sound of the rushing river and views of the surrounding mountains. Named for the nearby remnants of an old silver mine, the campground can accommodate up to 50 people and offers a variety of recreational and sightseeing activities.
From Hot Springs, North Carolina, go east on US 25/70 across the French Broad River Bridge. Just aftercrossing the bridge, turn left onto SR 1304. Turn left at the firstintersection and follow the road to the entrance gate. From Ashevlle, take I-26 west to 25/70 north. Continue on 25/70north to Hot Springs.Turn right onto SR 1304. Turn left at the Firstintersection and follow the road to the entrance to gate.
