The Beaver Pond Campground adjoins the Lake Welch Recreation Area within Harriman State Park. Comfortable camping, a relaxing atmosphere, a beach, and plenty of outdoor activities make this a great destination not far from New York City.Geography:The Beaver Pond Campground is located just 25 miles north of the George Washington Bridge.Recreation:Park activities include swimming, picnicking, camping, and walking.Facilities:The campground offers tent and trailer sites, as well as accommodations for larger vehicles. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring. Comfort stations, showers, laundry facilities, and a dumping station are part of the campground. A protected swimming beach is available when lifeguards are on duty.Nearby Attractions:Nearby recreation areas include Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site; Rockland Lake State Park; Bear Mountain State Park; and Lake Tiorati Beach and Lake Sebago Beach, both in Harriman State Park.

Beaver Pond is open from 05/01/2009 - 10/12/2009 **The A Section Bathroom Remodel Project** will take place during the 2009 season. The A Section will be CLOSED Sun thru Thursday during the construction. Camping stays will be allowed on the weekends only with portable bathroom/shower facilities available. We apologize for the inconvenience. To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made., Pets are not permitted on any site at the park., Alcohol Is Not Permitted in the park., The A section is only open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend., All campers must be 21 years old or accompanied by parent or legal guardian., 14 night maximum stay is strictly enforced., Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation., County Route 106 from Route 17 in Harriman is closed please follow the detour signs to Seven Lakes Dr. follow Seven lakes Dr. to the traffic circle take first exit this is County Route 106 east to Beaver Pond Campground, RV and trailers are being permitted to travel this route while 106 is closed Alcohol is NOT permitted in this campground..
