Horsethief Lake Campground Description

Located 10 miles southeast of Hill City, South Dakota. Situated in a park-like ponderosa pine forest, with huge old growth trees. Campground is adjacent to Horsethief Lake. Elevation is 5,000 feet. Roads are paved. Popular activities include hiking, fishing and mountain biking.

Non-reservable sites may be available on a first come-first served basis., Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance., There are no electric sites in this campground., There will be a pet charge of $2 per pet per night, payable upon check in., 3 day minimum during holidays. Vehicles towing trailers of any type and motorhomes over 25' in length will not be allowed into the area of Sites 23 through 28.
