Shutes Branch Campground Description

Shutes Branch Recreation area is located on beautiful Old Hickory Lake outside of Metropolitan Nashville, TN, near Opryland and the Hermitage, which is the historic home of President Andrew Jackson. Visitors here enjoy lake fishing, water skiing, and swimming, as well as many other outdoor activities. Many types of wildlife can be found such as migratory songbirds, whitetail deer, wild turkey, squirrels, rabbits, and snakes. Additional amenities include a boat launch and picnic facilities.

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. There is one Group Shelter available for day use only. (Minimum stay restriction do not apply.) The day use shelter is available from May 9 - Sep 1 and can be reserved for $35.

Shutes Branch (TN) Old Hickory TN 37138 East of Nashville, TN on I-40, exit onto Old Hickory Blvd N, turn right onto Hwy 70 (Lebanon Rd), then turn left onto Andrew Jackson Blvd. Continue until 1st light, continue straight ahead on Saundersville Rd, turn left into recreation area.
