
The park is 1,604 acres with 5.6 miles of river frontage along the south fork of the Shenandoah River. The rolling, mountainous land features steep slopes and is mostly wooded. In addition to meandering river frontage, the park offers scenic vistas overlooking Massanutten Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park to the east.

Notice for CampersLEAVE YOUR FIREWOOD AT HOME!!A firewood quarantine has been established for the following localities: counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Louden, and Prince William; and the entire cities of Alexandria, Fairfax City, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park. It is unlawful to transport firewood from these localities. In general, firewood can harbor insect pests under the bark and in the wood. The transport of infested firewood has been identified as a leading cause in the introduction of harmful forest insects into un-infested forest areas. Help us keep our state parks pest free by leaving your firewood at home.
Shenandoah River State Park 350 DAUGHTER OF STARS DR Bentonville VA 22610 The park is in Warren County, eight miles south of Front Royal and 15 miles north of Luray, just off U.S. Route 340 in Bentonville. From Northern Virginia, take 66 West to Linden exit. At light, turn right on 55 West to Front Royal, then left on 340 South for 8 miles. From I-81, Front Royal exit to 340 South to Bentonville. Look for park signs along the way. Turn right on Daughter of Stars Drive. Contact station is located at the top of the hill.
