
Bulltown Campground is located at Burnsville Lake on the Little Kanawha River. The Bulltown Historic Area is also located here. It was the site of a Civil War Battle with reenactments taking place bi-annually. Visitors can visit the Interpretive Center and take tours of the historic structures and battlefield. The campground offers 204 campsites along with playgrounds and bathhouses. A boat launch is located in the campground and there is a beach about a mile away. Other activities include hiking, boating, wildlife observation, fishing, hunting, picnicking and sightseeing. There are two stores located near the campground, one at the entrance and one 3 miles away. Groceries, camping supplies, and bait can be found here.

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance., This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends., This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends., Reservations are taken from May 20 through September 7; sites may be available on a first come - first served basis outside the reservation season., Sites are $20-$26/night., Lake levels may fluctuate during drought and heavy rain conditions., No pets in E or F loops, sites 145-196., Campground visiting hours are from 6:00 am - 10:00 pm, Maximum of 2 vehicles per site; all aditional vehicles will need to park at the overflow parking lot above C-Loop.
