Phone 706-866-9241 ext. 123. Location: The Chickamauga Visitor Center is located on old Lafayette Road, just south of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Closures: Closed on December 25. Special Programs: During some summer weekends, encampments of regiments from various states provide living history demonstrations. Also, during the summer, living history demonstration of a soldier"s life are offered. Exhibits: The Fuller Gun Collection contains 355 examples of military long arms.

Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Center

Open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Phone: 423-821-7786 Location: From Nashville, take Highway 24 south to Exit 174 and then south on US 41. Then take Tennessee Highway 148 to the top of Lookout Mountain and right on East Brow Road. Point Park is located at the end of East Brow Road. Closures: Closed on December 25. Special Programs: During the summer months, there are Living History Demonstrations of a Civil War soldier"s life. Also, tours of Point Park and the Cravens House are available during the summer months. Exhibits: "Battle of Lookout Mountain" by James Walker is on exhibit in the Visitor Center.
