VISITOR CENTERS

City of Rocks National Reserve Visitor Center

From April 17, 2009 through October 17, 2009, the visitor center is open daily, 7 days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including holidays.

Beginning October 17, 2009 through April 11, 2010, the visitor center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.

Closures

Visitor center closed on holidays and weekends November through March.

Special Programs

Regularly scheduled interpretive programs are offered Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Requested programs may be available upon request with advance notice by calling Juanita Jones, Visitor Services Ranger, at 208-824-5519. Schedule programs are posted on information boards within the reserve and at the visitor center.

Available Facilities

The visitor center is located in Almo, approximately 1 mile east of the reserve. Videos about City of Rocks are shown upon request. Brochures, maps, guidebooks, souvenirs and gifts are available. Picnic tables, water and restroom are also available at the visitor center.
