City Of Rocks National Reserve - Mammals

A partial list of mammals in the reserve includes, mountain lion, mule deer, coyote, bobcat, badger, porcupine, red fox, cliff chipmunk, mountain cottontail and pygmy rabbits, blacktail jack rabbit, snowshoe rabbit, northern grasshopper mouse, merriam shrew, several species of voles, and a variety of bats. Pronghorn antelope and bison were probably common a century ago.
