Operating Hours Seasons

Park is open 24 hours a day. The Visitor Center is open every day, except December 25. Visitor Center summer hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. mid-June to Labor day. Winter hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except December and January 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Getting There

Plane

Grand Junction Airport: American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Great Lakes Airlines, United Express/Skywest, Delta Connection/Skywest, US Airways and Allegiant Airlines currently serve the Grand Junction area..

Car

Westbound: Highway I-70 to Grand Junction, exit at Horizon Drive, Exit 31 to East Entrance. Eastbound: Highway I-70 to Fruita, Colorado, Exit 19 to West Entrance.

For travelers going Eastbound through the Grand Valley: Take Highway I-70 to Exit 19 (Fruita) and go south on Highway 340 to the west entrance, which is approximately three miles from Fruita. The Visitor Center and Campground are four miles up from the west entrance.

Public Transportation

Tour bus service available. Contact Grand Junction Visitor and Convention bureau for more information. Amtrak provides daily service to Grand Junction.

Getting Around

The main road is historic Rim Rock Drive, consisting of 23 miles of paved road. Also available is one self-guided nature trail and 13 backcountry trails (various lengths), elevation 4,700' to 7,028'.
