SPECIAL USE PERMITS

Who needs a special use permit?

Many special activities may occur in national parks. Reserving the picnic shelter, commercial filming and photography, adventure races, and scientific research are just a few of the special uses that may be permitted under approved circumstances. These special use permits must be obtained in advance and may require payment of a fee.

$35 for 50 people or less

$60 for 51 – 100 people

$100 for 101 – 125 people

Details

Shelter hours are 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. A nonrefundable check for $35 is required for groups less than 50 people and $60 for groups of 50 - 100 people. Fee for groups 101 - 150 people is $100. Reservations for more than 150 people will not be approved. A refundable $50 security deposit is also required. The permit is for the shelter only and not the surrounding grounds or area.
