Cumberland Island National Seashore - Activities![]() Be prepared for your journey - No food or drinks are available for purchase on the island. Restrooms and water fountains are the only services provided. Other suggested items to bring include sunscreen, insect repellant, comfortable clothing and shoes as well as a hat. Interpretive programs are conducted each day at Dungeness Dock upon the ferry"s arrival and at 4:00 p.m. at the Sea Camp Ranger Station on the island prior to departure. Bike rentals available from the concessionare on the island; no other equipment available. Tours to the Plum Orchard Mansion are conducted the second and fourth Sunday of each month. Access to Plum Orchard is by ferry, departing the Sea Camp dock at 12:45 p.m. and returning to Sea Camp at 4:15 p.m. The cost of the additional ferry trip to Plum Orchard is $6 per person. Campers may also hike up to Plum Orchard and join the ranger there at 1:30 p.m. |
