VISITOR CENTERS

Accessible parking, information desks, and restrooms at Dingmans Falls Visitor Center PA (outdoor toilets only for all), Headquarters PA, and Kittatinny Point Visitor Center NJ.

SWIMMING

Accessible parking, restrooms, and bathhouses at Milford and Smithfield Beaches PA. Assistance is needed to the swimming area or launch areas at these sites.

FISHING

A pier at Loch Lomond PA is accesible to the mobility-impaired.

CANOE CAMPING

Valley View river camping site is accessible. GROUP CAMPING There are accessible sites at Rivers Bend Group Campground NJ.

BOATING

A boat access pier at Bushkill Access PA is available for the mobility-impaired. PICNIC SITES Accessible parking, restrooms, and picnic sites at Milford Beach PA, Childs Recreation Site PA, Toms Creek PA, Smithfield Beach PA, Hialeah Picnic Area PA, Watergate Recreation Site NJ, and Kittatinny Point NJ.

TRAILS

Dingmans Falls Trail is a flat boardwalk trail to the base of the falls, 1/2 mile round trip, that is accessible to wheelchair users. (See photos above.) Portions of McDade Recreational Trail PA (heading north out of Smithfield Beach and south out of Milford Beach PA) are accessible to the mobility-impaired.

SENSORY TRAILS

Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has a 1/4 mile rope-lined sensory trail which can be used by anyone. Sighted hikers can ask for a blindfold at PEEC's visitor center.

HISTORIC SITES

Millbrook Village NJ has accessible restrooms and the road through the village is flat; however, most buildings are not accessible. At Peters Valley Craft Education Center, the first floor of the shop and the restrooms are accessible. The first floor of the Nelden-Roberts Stonehouse in Montague NJ is accessible.

OVERLOOKS

Accessible parking at Resort Point, Point of Gap, and Arrow Island PA overlooks on Route 611.
