During the summer, rangers present programs just for kids, and guided walks suitable for family groups with children. .

Pocono Environmental Education Center, just off Route 209 within the recreation area, offers a variety of programs for children and families year round. There is a charge for some of these programs.

Kids can also explore the park on their own using the Junior Naturalist and Junior Ranger booklets. (See below)

Junior Ranger Program

The 4-page Junior Naturalist activity sheet and 16-page Junior Ranger booklet have activities about the park's history, rocks, plants, and animals. A 6-page Junior Space Traveler activity booklet is also available.

Children who complete the activites can earn embroidered patches.

You can get Junior Naturalist, Junior Ranger booklets, and Junior Space Ranger booklets at either of the park's visitor centers.
