Essex National Heritage Area - Plan Your VisitGetting There Plane The Heritage Area is served by Logan International Airport in Boston. The Heritage Area begins only seven miles north of the airport. Car The Heritage Area is served by a good road system. The major highways are I-93, I-95, and I-495 and routes 1 and 128. There are also a number of scenic roads through the area and along the shore. Public Transportation Commuter rail runs from Boston"s North Station. The Rockport and Newburyport lines make several stops within the Heritage Area. Buses to Salem run from Haymarket Square in Boston. |
