Fort Sumter National Monument - Plan Your Visit![]() Fort Sumter National Monument includes historic Fort Sumter located in Charleston Harbor, the Liberty Square Visitor Education Center and departure facilities in Charleston at 340 Concord Street, and Fort Moultrie, located on Sullivan"s Island. You may either use the park concession ferry or your private boat to reach Fort Sumter. All other sites are accessible via automobile. The primary site is located at the Fort Sumter Visitor Education Center in Charleston. The secondary departure site is located at Patriot’s Point in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. |
