Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park - For Kids

During the program, children will be able to try on soldier uniforms, march and drill as soldiers did and learn about the lives of men who fought and died here on our battlefields. The program is free, but all children wishing to participate must pre-register at the Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitors Center. Each day, the program will start at 11:00am and will last 1 hour. All parents are required to attend with their children.

Junior Ranger Program

There are two booklets for the Junior ranger Program, one for the Fredericksburg Battlefield, that includes Chatham, and one for Chancellorsville Battlefield, that includes the Jackson Shrine. The booklets are available for $3.00 at the Eastern National bookstores at Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville. When the participant completes the booklet, a park historian will review the answers and issue a Junior Ranger badge.
