Friendship Hill National Historic Site - FacilitiesVISITOR CENTERS Gallatin House Open The Gallatin House is open - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily April through October. Phone 724-725-9190 Location On knoll above main parking area Closures The Gallatin House is closed for these Federal Holidays: Veterans Day (Frday, November 11), Thankgiving Day, Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25), New Years Day (Sunday, January 1), Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., George Washington"s Birthday. The Gallatin House is also closed Mondays through Friday during the winter months. The park grounds, hiking trails, and picnic area remain open sunrise to sunset year round. Special Programs A self-guided audio house tour and "Reflections of Gallatin" presentation are offered throughout the year. During the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day) ranger led house tours are offered daily. Exhibits Exhibits highlight the life and accomplishments of Albert Gallatin. Available Facilities A picnic area and restrooms are adjacent to the main parking area. Visitors can explore the 661 acre park by way of ten miles of nature trails. |
