Forget everything you know about the previous Arbor Draft incarnations. The only thing that remains the same is that the true-twin Draft is still one of the most durable park and pipe boards you can take to the mountain. This season it features a parabolic rocker design to lock in the edge hold beneath your feet while freeing the nose and tail for jib-specific moves. This new tip-and-tail lifting flex is part of what Arbor calls "The System." Essentially they took a bunch of separate snowboard flex and shape technologies and combined everything for jib-specific performance. The Draft has an inlaid wood power spine in a jib-specific design that works like carbon fiber to stiffen the flex in the middle of the board while keeping the flex softer at the tip and tail. Along the edges you'll find softer bronze metals so the Draft doesn't catch like steel edges do on rails, boxes and other park features. The board is thinner along the tips to improve the spin weight, but it's also wider and blunter with a flat kick to optimize presses and butters. One of the killer touches that we like is the Sumo Stance on the Draft. Arbor extended the 2x4 insert pattern to 14 holes along the contact points, so you can opt for a 64-cm. (25-in) wide stance without sacrificing adjustments. The Sumo Stance feature also allows you to size down the length on your Draft without giving up this generous stance width. If you specialize in park moves, the Arbor Draft is one of the toughest and most specialized jib-oriented snowboards you can take to the mountains this season.
