Although you may have trouble believing this, the Arc'teryx Women's Beta AR Jacket is both incredibly tough and surprisingly supple. This is achieved through the use of the latest generation of 3-layer GORE-TEX, the Pro Shell series, and Arc'teryx's industry leading construction techniques. 380NR GORE-TEX 3-layer Pro is used for the torso and sleeves, and highly abrasion resistant 480NR GORE-TEX 3-layer Pro is used on the shoulders and elbows. While one fabric is a bit tougher than the other, they both offer a breakthrough in breathability, rugged strength, and durable waterproofing. These fabrics also have strong woven backers that bond better than ever to laminated components and narrow seam tape. Laminated zips eliminate the need for bulky zipper flaps, tiny GORE-TEX seam tape doesn't diminish the jacket's supple feel, and overall the Arc'teryx Beta AR jacket for women is significantly lighter and more breathable than if traditional construction techniques were used.

Simply great!
Wow! This rain coat is just amazing! It's light enough to pack it in my small camelback during the summer hikes. Still it kept me dry under the toughest rain conditions. Not to mention that it looks good to - not that this matter on the mountain, but it's a nice to have bonus.

You Will Not Get Wet!
The Arc'teryx Beta AR is the best shell I have even owned. It is light weight, but will keep you dry. It serves a dual purpose for me: ski parka in the winter, and backcountry raincoat in the warmer months. I got a great discount too...better than any of my pro-deals.
