Carhartt's long sleeve Work-Dry mock turtleneck can be worn alone or layered. It's made of 6-ounce, 60% cotton/40% polyester Work-Dry fabric, which wicks away moisture for comfort and has an anti-odor treatment. It also has rib-knit cuffs and collar, side-seamed construction to minimize twisting, left chest pocket with logo label, rolled forward shoulder for a more comfortable fit and a tagless neck label.

An expensive but very good Under Shirt
I wear this under a V neck sweater or pullover and the pocket is a must have for pen, misc paper, and small reading glasses. Its very thin & lightweight like a tee shirt, but much warmer, and very comfortable. At 30 bucks for a pocket and tall size, I think its overpriced by about $10, but there really isn't anything else out there. Also it would be great if it were available in a white large tall with pocket.
