Lessons of the past blended with technology of the future, the Cloudveil Down Patrol Jacket for Men is a hybrid of natural fibers and modern technical fabrics. Windproof, water-resistant and incredibly warm, the Cloudveil Down Patrol is just another example of how Cloudveil is pushing the envelope on quality, durability and functionality in the realm of backcountry mountain apparel.
WINDSTOPPER face fabric ensures windproof protection and superior water-resistance (it is almost waterproof) even the most demanding elements while 650 fill quality goose down delivers unparalleled insulation and warmth. Easy to layer thanks to the smooth, soft Cirrus lining fabric, the Down Patrol Jacket features a removable storm sealing hood, oversized hand warmer pockets lined with Transporter Brushed Tricot fabric, and two way pit-zips for extra ventilation when things heat up and you need to keep your cool.

Quality Product, Warm and Windproof.
This is my second Patrol Jacket (purchased my first, an XL last season..too big...traded to a pal). At 6-1 190 with 36 inch arms, I found that the LG fits best. I have 20+ VT ski days with this coat (coldest was -7, windy & no sun) & have been comfortable with just a base layer and very light fleece. No real need to layer much. Unless sedentary, I think the coat is too much for temps above 20....although the pit-zips help. The coat is VERY windproof and more durable than I thought it would be. Two slight flaws - The hood fits over a ski helmet but does not want to stay on (even with the draw-cord pulled tight) and the Pit-zip tabs are too small. I am a big fan of this garment.
