Whether it's powder slashing in the Bridger Bowl backcountry or straight-lining chutes for an audience under Squaw's infamous KT22, the men's Storm Trooper Jacket always seems to earn some attention. It's lightly insulated and armed with our advanced Omni-Tech technology for supreme waterproof breathability. The Trooper also features a subtle-yet-stunning gradient fade print applied through a gruelingly technical dye-to-paper-to-fabric transfer process. With low-loft 60g Microtemp insulation sealing out the cold without too much bulk, this coat is perfect for quick hikes to drop-in zones, dodging trees, and other high-octane activities. The adjustable storm hood zips off for easy customization. A snap-back powderskirt keeps fresh snow on the right side of your apparel; the outside; and then snaps to the jacket's lining to stay out of the way on those dry days. Active fit.
Second Columbia Coat an Even Bigger Success Than the First One
I got this for my 24-year old son for Christmas. This is his second Columbia jacket. He's had his old one for 8 years. He and his brother will only wear Columbia. I have waited a couple of months to see how he would like it before reviewing it as he is very particular. It's been a real cold winter here and everyday he marvels at how much he loves his new jacket. He says it keeps him warm but it's not too heavy or too long. He can be active in it and it doesn't constrict him. He loves it and would recommend it.
Best all around jacket
Lightweight but still insulated, just rock a sweatshirt under it on the cold days. Pow skirt is a lifesaver. I've used it in rain, snow, wind, and bluebird weather and it's been fine for everything. Fits long in the sleeves and shorter on the body, I'm 5'11" 150lbs and I got a large, perfect for how I like coats to fit, but it's a little big on me. Ballin' colors too.
