The CW-X original but with a bit more warmth, the CW-X Insulator Expert Tight for Women uses the patented Conditioning Web, providing targeted support to the knee joints and quadriceps while providing extra insulation for cool to cold weather activities like winter running and Nordic or alpine skiing. The Insulator Expert helps to stabilize your knee joints so they can better absorb the impact of intense sports while keeping you warm, allowing you to stay in the game longer with reduced fatigue and without injury.
I would recommend this product
I have fibromyalgia and it's painful to wear clothes that are tight. I was very leary about ordering these, but I can say that the support they offer is excellent and once I got them on they did not hurt. Even though I ordered them in June, I am using them for walking on my treadmill inside my home. These being insulated tights, I can tell that they will be much more useful in the winter when it's cold outside, as I suffer a great deal from the cold as well. So I'll be ordering the CWX 3/4 Stabilyx Tight for summer use. As for sizing, it's always an unknown when catalog ordering, but I found that ordering the size I usually get when buying other clothes worked. The sizing chart indicated that at 5'7" and 170 lbs I should have purchased a medium, but because of the fibromyalgia I got a large. I agree with one other review that stated the legs fall short, just a bit above the ankle, but that will not stop me from enjoying the support offered. And not to be overlooked is the quick response time in delivery of the product. I would also recommend Altrec.com for other outdoor gear.
Awesome!
I was skeptical about these tights but I am a belieiver now. I wore these skiing for 3 days and my legs felt great! Normally after skiing for 3 days straight my legs are fatigued and my knees are sore. There was none of that this trip. I want another pair! I will probabaly try the non-insulated for running next. They also kept my legs very warm so they may be a little too warm for spring skiing.
Work excellant as base layer for cold weather alpine skiing.
Bought a pair for my daugther who felt she could use the extra support while she ripped up the slopes. They exceeded her wildest expectations. She reported them to be comfortable, but not to constraining...almost messaging...and she should know...she's a physical therapist. Appears to be able to extend her ski days with less fatique.
