Eureka Backcountry 1 Tent
A standard backcountry tent, the ightweight Eureka Backcountry 1 Tent solo tent sports an aluminum frame and super-size side opening door. The Backcountry 1 is freestanding, roomy and well ventilated. The large side entry Race Track door makes it easy to get in and out while the offset door window is right where your head goes for excellent ventilation. Either end of the tent is mesh so you get ventilation and stargazing. Other features include a short pack size (15.5 in. x 6 in.), aluminum poles and factory sealed main fly and floor seams. Finally as an added bonus the Backcountry 1's muted green colors allow the tent to blend into any wooded campsite.

Great Tent!
I sleep outdoors every night, September thru June. Most of the time, it's just me and a pad and bag and two doxie dawgs out under the stars. But when the weather turns bad, we set up the Backcountry 1. Like last night - lots of thunder and lightning, loads of wind and rain, and we stayed dry all night long! This will be my home when the weather is bad, on my Appalachian Trail thru-hike, commencing October 2010.

I love the tent so far!
I have only set this tent up at home so far- but so far so great! The quality and details are awesome! Too many times so called designer products fail to notice the details like "the zipper would be better over here" or "if we design it this way it can serve a dual propose". Not the case with this tent here. I am rarely surprised by some one doing something right because usually they don't give a hoot enough to get it right. But I am delighted to say I am surprised. I am 6'1" and I do wish the tent had just a few more square feet, but then again that would defeat the purpose of a small backpack tent wouldn't it? The design of the tent however allowed me to easily, in one afternoon build a small vestibule that attaches to the tent and is accessible from the door. It gives me an optional 6 square feet to store shoes, packs and such. Thanks again for designing something that was so simple to modify. The height of the tent on the inside is great and even without my option modification I would totally buy this tent again. I will be using this tent for motorcycle camping and will give it its fist field test in about 10 days. I am sure it will be awesome!
