Multi-purpose and compact, the Eureka Pinnacle Pass 2XTA Tent sports two twin-track doors, two vestibules and a lightweight aluminum frame. An excellent choice for three-season wilderness backpackers, this dome-style tent comfortably sleeps two campers. It includes a lightweight aluminum frame and two built-in fully covered vestibules for added gear storage (6.7 square feet each). Eureka's patented High/Low doors vent from the top and/or bottom, providing options for moderating air flow. It's easy to set up, thanks to the 8.5mm 7000 series aluminum frame, ring and pin assembly, and extended pole pockets. It has two doors, two windows, two mesh roof vents, and a poke-out vent in the sidewall for additional ventilation. The high perimeter seams of bathtub floor combines with factory taped floor seams and fly seams to keep water out.
Excellent Buy!
I bought the tent as a replacement for my aging Eureka Half Dome, as now I need room enough for two. The tent is remarkably easy to set up and very lightweight for its size. A footprint is necessary to protect the floor and the size of the vestibules allow for a little extra to set your packs and shoes on, without tracking anything inside. Having two doors so as not to disturb your tent mate when entering or leaving is a great feature for early risers like myself. Eureka has done their homework and this tent is an excellent buy.
Great tent for the money!
I got this tent as our first backpacking tent, its lite and packs down well. It slept my girl, 50lb dog and I very comfortably! This tent was one of the easiest to set up and very well made, it also was easy to get packed up and put away in a hurry. Over all I am very happy with this tent and wouldn't change a thing. I would recommend a tarp when setting this up as to not rip the bottom out from contact with the ground.
