Wider than the conventional Exped 7.5 AirMat, this AirMat 7.5 Pump Deluxe Air Mattress features an integrated foot pump that's easy to inflate on backpacking trips or out in the (heated) family cabin ski bunkroom. While you might consider an ordinary air mattress foot pump hard and unyielding, Exped built this patented pump for ease of use and trasport. Like the standard 7.5 AirMat, the Exped AirMat 7.5 Pump Deluxe has a thickness of over three inches, so it adds plenty of cushion and moderate insulation. The big advantage that the AirMat 7.5 Pump Deluxe Mat has over Exped's self-inflating ComfortFoam Mats is the substantial weight savings--even including pump weight. Keep in mind that Exped recommends using AirMats in warm weather conditions like summer backpacking. If you're camping on an ice field or climbing in the early spring or late fall, you'll feel warmer on the insulated mattress found in Exped's DownMat collection.
