golite reed rain pants are great!
this is my second pair of reed rain pants, i bought this pair for my son. the pants are so light, that when you get them you might not believe they will work! but, they do! i bought my first pair 4+ years ago, and have used them regularly. they work great!!!

A Little Steamy But Very Light
Pro: Very lightweight and packable. Pro: Less expensive than most. Con: Leg zippers are too short. Con: A little less breathable than some. These pants will disappear into your pack. They're very lightweight. A size M is only 5.4 ounces. They so far have warded off continuous medium strength rain on a 3 hour hike. They're a bit less breathable than I'd like, but the lightweight makes up for it. The leg zippers should be a little longer. I have a Mens size 8.5 foot and I have to take off my boots to get the pants on. The price, weight and small pack size of these pants more than make up for the slight clamminess and inconvenience of boot removal. They could be better, but we can't always have it all. Ultralighters will enjoy these rain pants.
