That means that Head put these things called Intellifibers at 45-degree angles in front of the ski bindings, so those mechanical impulses created by bouncing around in hard snow turn into electrical energy that stiffens the Intellifibers. Ski magazines lauded Head's Liquidmetal component in past seasons for the consistent and predictable rebound, but one lesser-known benefit is that the Liquidmetal is actually liquid, so it doesn't break down like solid molecular ski components that wear out over several seasons of hard use. FUN Fun Ski
This is my second pair and I'm excited to get it in 166 (161 was a bit short but didn't want to go to 172 last season. 5.10 and 156; expert all mountain skier). It's a great value for the performance and w/ bindings. This is a fast and aggressive ski, but also obedient and they ski everything well, fast on groomers, easy through bumps, holds a line, fine float in deep powder or cut-up snow - definitely a one-quiver ski; it's easy to stay over the sweet spot but it is stiff enough to deliver immediately.
