It has a low-friction Boa Conda liner closure adjustment system that gives you near-infinite adjustment settings and a separate traditional lace-up shell closure so you can customize the fit to suit your mood, snow conditions and terrain. The K2 Darko Boa Conda features a Control Foam 3D Intuition liner made from high-density, thermo-forming Ultralon foam. This insulating material is flexible and durable, but what Ultralon does better than other competitor liners is resist packing out--that's the ever-expanding phenomena where repeated use stretches the sizing of your boot liners until nothing fits as well as it did when you wore the boots for the first time on the mountain. This season K2 optimized the heel hold systems in all their boots and the Darko Boa Conda offers the newest internal and external J bar configurations for full body reinforcement. Along the footbed you'll find K2's Harshmellow padding. Clever marketing names aside, this is a practical, shock-absorbing cushion in the heel and forefoot regions that helps soften hard landings without robbing you of the tactile feedback from the snow surface beneath your snowboard. This season K2 also reduced the sole weight on all of their snowboard boots, including the Men's Darko Boa Conda, so you're closer to your snowboard while still enjoying excellent traction on almost any frozen surface.
