It's tough to design a woman's snowboard that appeals to all levels of ability--because in most cases riders of all abilities expect something different from the same board. That said, the K2 Women's Luna Snowboard accomplishes this task with an easy-turning and lively core that's best suited for casual riders who want quick and effortless turns over a variety of terrain and assorted snow conditions. It features a three-wood women's Rhythm core, a special female-specific design that's similar to the guy's W2 wood cores, but engineered for a lighter feel and easier turn initiation than unisex and men's snowboards. Around this three-wood core is a biaxial fiberglass weave that's specifically configured for easy performance rides. This gives the Luna snowboard a predictable flex that inspires confidence among new riders, but to liven up the pop, K2 added Kevlar inlays along the core. This lively characteristic gives the snowboard plenty of rebound for advanced and expert riders. Beneath the Luna is K2's proven 2000 extruded base that's fast, durable and easy to tune or repair.
