Across campus, on a weekend backpacking trip, or just a walk around town, the Keen Klamanth Mid for Men are designed for your active lifestyle. Transitioning from town to trail is a breeze in the Klamanth Mid; stiffer than the Targhee, but not as much support as the Oregon PCT hiking boot. Offering waterproof protection with a sleek, leather upper, the Klamanth provides Keen's patented toe protection, a Cork/EVA heel cushioning insert, and the supportive, rugged construction you require as you venture out of town for a weekend on the trail.
Keen to Army Standard
I bought these boots about a month ago with hope that they would be better than the regular issued footwear provided by the Army for my coming deployment to Afghanistan. I've been wearing them frequently during training and personal hiking trips. By far, these boots are better and more durable than the Keen Targhee II's which I found the side sole glue to give after only a couple weeks of constant use. After putting these boots through the rigors of Army training, beating them up the best I could, I could find nothing wrong with them and recommend them for anyone looking for a good pair of hiking boots.
Excellent
Worth every cent. I have very wide feet. I went up 1 size and the fit is incredible.
A superb hiking/backpacking boot that is a joy to use!
This is all the boot most people will need. It's light yet offers plenty of support; the lacing system and Keen wide toebox assures a great, effortless fit; it is extremely competent in all kinds of trails; and it's plenty rugged so there's no problem in using it in all kinds of weather and terrain conditions. I've been a hiker/backpacker for over 40 years, this is the best all-around boot I have worn. The Keen folks have done it again!
